Camber coastal path approved

More than 30 miles of new coastal paths, stretching from Camber to Folkstone, have been approved by Environment Secretary Elizabeth Truss.

More than 16 million tourists visited the East of England last year, contributing over £2.4billion to the regional economy.

The Government says the path will attract more visitors and will benefit shops, pubs and hotels.

This is the latest stretch to be announced as part of plans led by Natural England to open 2,700 miles of National Trail around England’s coastline.
