Camber Village Voice

All of the Harvest Festival celebrations have now happened at Camber Church, the Harvest Supper was well attended and much enjoyed by everyone.

The Shepherds Pie followed by apple pie & custard disappeared with commendable speed, a clear indication of their tastiness. Cider was available for those with a taste for it. After there was an auction of the produce given and used to decorate the church, Mike Botten did an admirable job as auctioneer thus bringing fun and laughter as it raised £300.00 for Farm Africa.

You may not know what Farm Africa does, It is a charity who believe that Africa has the power to feed itself and has been supporting farmers to do so since 1985, they provide the technical know- how & seeds that boost yields and gives families a more reliable source of food. They are about long term solutions - Farm Aid not Food Aid.

As a farming community ourselves it seems appropriate that we offer support to some African farmers who struggle to make the land provide food that is the difference between life and death.

Well Done! to the folk at the church who worked so hard to make the supper such a success .

The service in the church this Sunday is at 10.30am . The communion will be led byRev Helen Patten . All are welcome.
