Can you help

FROM Llantwit Mayor in the Vale of Glamorgan comes an appeal to help a nonagenarian in the search for family members who lived in Bexhill 70 years ago.

Ian Hopkins, of 48 Cambrian Avenue, Llantwit Major CF61 1QU, writes: "My mother, Alice Hopkins (nee Gill), who is 92, is anxious to trace the family of her half-sister who lived in Bexhill in the 1930s.

"The family is that of Michael Baker and his wife, Mona (nee Gill), who we believe had five children, Harry, Alice, Pauline, Angela and Michael."

Ian encloses photographs of the family taken in the 1930s.

He says: "Michael Baker played football and is show in te back row of the cup-winning team but I am not sure of the year.

"The other photos of the children show that there were some good summers at the time!"
