The Canadian plane has had to cancel its display this weekend and will no longer fly over Shoreham with the UK Lancaster.
A spokesman for the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum said: “During a local flight from Durham Tees Valley Airport this morning, our Lancaster performed a precautionary engine shutdown.
“The aircraft landed safely without incident.
“It is now hangared and is undergoing maintenance.
“Regrettably we will not attend our weekend events and will advise on others.”
Shoreham Airshow said: “Sadly, following an engine problem the Canadian Lancaster has had to cancel its displays this weekend and will no longer be joining us.”
