CANCER SUPPORT GROUP'S LOTTO BOOST

The Mayor of Telscombe, Cllr Elizabeth Lee, presented Mrs Pat Dunkley, who runs the support group, with the cheque at the monthly get together held at the civic centre.

The group has been meeting at the venue for the last four years on the first Wednesday of every month. Its aim is to offer friendly social support to all women with an awareness of breast cancer.

Thanks to the Lottery grant, the group is now able to improve communications and have an extra hour for meetings. A wider variety of therapies will be on offer with two beauticians, a manicurist and a new art and craft section. A laptop computer has been bought so members can access the internet.
