Canine Christmas for all as club barks up the right tree

Christmas for canines was staged by members of the Bognor Regis and District Dog Training Club.

The festive treat proved as popular as ever. Members and their dogs packed Felpham Memorial Village Hall.

The evening got underway with the traditional fun event of the dogs' fancy dress.

This was won by Stanley the Shih-tzu owned by Caroline Harvey.

He was dressed in a very fetching 'dalmatian' fur wrap and came as a 'Shih-mation'.

The dogs enjoyed all the favourite 'doggy' games which included everyone's favourite of the sausage retrieve.

Dogs take their turn to collect a sausage and return it to their handler, but very few sausages make it back.

The club's members also enjoyed the chance to celebrate Christmas and meet their friends.

Training sessions will start again on January 8 and 9 at Felpham Memorial Village Hall in Vicarage Lane on Thursday and Friday evenings. Precise times depend on the class attended.
