A police raid uncovered cannabis plants at a home in South Chailey just days after a cannabis farm was put out of business in North Chailey.

Local officers executed a drugs warrant just before 10am on Friday February 28 at a terraced house in Andros Close, South Chailey.

Nine growing cannabis plants and some cannabis ready for use were found, together with associated equipment.

A 60-year old man was arrested on suspicion of cannabis production and is currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.

This is the second find of cannabis growing facilities in the area within two days.

A much larger site was found in North Chailey on Wednesday February 26, however the two finds are not connected.
