Car crashes into ditch in Storrington

A MAN had a lucky escape after he rolled his car into a ditch in Storrington.

Three fire crews from Storrington and Worthing rushed to Fryern Road yesterday (Thursday, March 11) following a call at 11pm that a man was trapped in his BMW car.

The crews managed to free him from the vehicle and Worthing fire fighters used the heavy rescue engine to drag the car out of the culvert to prevent oil spilling into a nearby stream.
