Car crashes into house in Broadwater

A female driver is believed to have crashed her car through a garden wall and into a house in Broadwater today.

Police, the fire and ambulance service were all called to the incident, which took place on Broomfield Avenue at around 3pm today, Friday, December 4.

The woman was ‘visibly shaken’ and treated by paramedics at the scene, the ambulance service said.

The images appear to show the car had reversed into the building and came to a rest in the property’s front garden.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 3pm to reports that a car had driven into a house.

“The female driver was out of the vehicle when we arrived and required checking over.

“She was visibly shaken but did not require hospital treatment.”

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service confirmed the vehicle had driven through a garden wall and into a house.

A spokeswoman added: “One crew from Worthing attended and made the vehicle and road safe.”
