Car crashes into Worthing lamppost

A CAR crashed into a lamppost in Worthing at rush hour yesterday (Thursday, April 1).

The car, which had a couple inside, collided with the lamppost at the junction of Grand Avenue and Lansdowne Road at 5.30pm.

The couple was taken to hospital and the Highways Agency was called to make sure the lamppost was structurally safe.
