A car fire broke out in Hampden Park this afternoon (September 3).

Emergency services rushed to the scene in The Hydneye where the vehicle was well ablaze at about 12.30pm

Firefighters from Eastbourne used two breathing apparatus and one high pressured hose reel jet to fight the flames.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the incident was handed over to Sussex Police and crews left the scene at about 1.15pm.
