Car fire in St Leonards

A black Mercedes people carrier, parked at the side of the road, caught alight in Battle Road, close to the junction with Telford Road, shortly before 2pm.
The blaze broke out under the bonnet before spreading to the interior of the car.
Firefighters from Hastings were called to the scene.
Crews were stood down just after 2.30pm.
The cause of the blaze is unknown.
