Car fire near Eastbourne hospital

There has been a car fire near the hospital in Eastbourne.

The incident happened just off Kings Drive near the roundabout opposite the DGH earlier today (April 2).

According to East Sussex Fire & Rescue, crews were called to the car at 12.34pm. One breathing apparatus and one hose reel was used to put out the fire. The service reported no one was injured.

The fire service said police are now arranging to recover the vehicle and drivers say the traffic is moving normally again now.
