Police responded to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a wall on the A284 in Lyminster, close to the junction with Church Lane, a spokesman confirmed.
Officers attended the scene, alongside West Sussex Fire and Rescue and South East Coast Ambulance Service.
No injuries were reported in the incident, police confirmed.
The road remained closed for several hours while debris was cleared.
