Car on roof after Bexhill crash

Firefighters attended the scene of a crash involving two cars in Bexhill last night (Tuesday, May 31).

Crews from Bexhill discovered one vehicle was on its roof as a result of the accident, which happened at around 9.30pm on De La Warr Road.

A spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said no one was trapped when firefighters arrived and the area was made safe by crews following a fuel spillage.

Earlier at 4pm, Bexhill and Hastings fire crews were sent to an accidental kitchen fire in Landsdown Way.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to tackle the fire.

A Home Safety Visit was carried out following the incident.
