Car park charges freeze in Worthing

A DECISION not to increase the parking charges at Worthing's multi-storey car parks has been welcomed.

National Car Parks Limited (NCP) announced following a review of parking charges and customer feedback, there will be no increase in the off street parking charges at the multi storey car parks in the town centre.

In addition, NCP Limited said there would be no increase in the short to medium stay tariffs in all Worthing Borough Council's town centre surface car parks.

The charges will be reviewed again in April next year.

Bryan Turner, Worthing's cabinet member for a clean and green environment, said: "We know Worthing residents are faced with increased fuel costs, so we are glad our Worthing residents are not facing big increases in our town centre multi-story and surface car parks."
