Car stolen in Lancing burglary

A CAR and a television have been stolen during a burglary in Lancing.

A ground floor window was smashed to gain entry to the house in Hurstfield, Tower Road, Lancing, between 10am and 12.57pm on Saturday, April 24.

Paint was spilt throughout the house and a large quantity of electrical goods were stolen.

Among the goods stolen were a 42 inch black flat screen wall mounted television, a home cinema DVD system and speakers.

A red Seat seven-seater car was also stolen but was recovered from Stoney Lane, Shoreham, later that day.

The car is currently being examined for forensic evidence.

Detective Constable Susan Smith said: "If anyone saw anything suspicious in Tower Road at the time of the burglary, or witnessed the car being parked in Stoney Lane, they should contact us immediately."
