Two days later police received reports of another car being damaged in Marley Rise.

Two tyres were let down, a deep gouge was found running the length of the vehicle and a large boot mark was found on the drivers door.

The incident happened some time between 10pm on Wednesday April 14 and just after 4.30pm the next day.

The wing mirror of a car parked in Upper Lake was bent backwards by vandals on Thursday April 15 between 10-11pm.

And a vehicle was damaged for the second time in Lower Lake between 3pm on April 15 and 8am the next day.

The same night, vandals also targeted a car in Marley Lane, smashing the front windscreen and damaging the wing mirror.

Muddy footprints were also found on top of the vehicle.

Police say late night drinkers could be responsible and are liaising with pubs in the area.

Sgt Dan Russell of Battle police said: "These are being linked. The Neighbourhood Policing Team are investigating these and working with their partners to prevent further offences occurring."
