Car workshop and fire destroyed in Burgess Hill fire

BURGESS Hill offices and a car repair workshop went up in flames overnight on Friday.

A single storey timber building, used as offices, was totally destroyed by the fire, while a single story brick building, used as a car repair workshop, was 75 per cent damaged by smoke and 25 per cent damaged by heat and one car was damaged by the fire.

Four crews were at the scene until shortly after 1am on Saturday and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Two breathing apparatus, two jets and one hydrant was used to tackle the blaze.
