Caravan blaze

Two caravans at the Riverside Caravan Centre in Bognor Regis were destroyed in arson attacks on the same night.

The first blaze was tackled by firefighters in just over an hour from 10.30pm last Friday.

Gas cylinders had to be removed to limit the risk of an explosion.

Within two minutes of that fire being put out, another caravan measuring 4m by 12m was reported to be ablaze on the Shripney Road site.

This was quickly tackled in less than ten minutes.

The second blaze also saw 10 per cent of an adjoining caravan damaged by the heat of the flames.

Some 20 firefighters from Bognor, Chichester and Littlehampton attended the incidents.
