Caravan set on fire in Peacehaven

Firefighters were called to Peacehaven yesterday evening (Sunday, March 20) to reports of a caravan on fire.

Two appliances from Newhaven attended the scene, at The Highway, Peacehaven, at around 6.45pm.

Firefighters with breathing apparatus used one hose reel and foam to extinguish the fire, which was started deliberately.

At 7.20pm the same evening, an appliance from Forest Row, along with the specialist Land Rover from Crowborough, attended an incident in Cansiron Lane, Ashurstwood, following reports of a two-floor woodland building on fire.

Firefighters used one hose reel to tackle the fire.
