Care homes face flattening

A FORMER care home in Southwick could be knocked down to make way for a development of 12 two bedroomed flats, and another in Lancing, could be the site for flats and houses.

West Sussex County Council, which owns both sites, has submitted a planning application to Adur District Council to replace Elmcroft in Southwick with a two and half storey building and provide 14 car spaces. In addition it wants to build 11 flats and nine houses at St Giles, Lancing.
