It will start at 6.30pm at St Mary’s Church in the Causeway - but you may need to arrive in good time to be sure of a seat.

As well as being the perfect opportunity to celebrate Christmas it will support the newly-formed Chairman’s Trust.

Philip Circus, chairman of Horsham District Council and founder of the trust, said: “It is a community carol service to celebrate the community, to raise the civic consciousness and raise the profile of Horsham District Council being a body at the heart of the town and district.

“I think we might have a packed church - and St Mary’s is a big church.”

Many organisations across the community will be represented, with a number taking part in the service.

A collection in aid of the trust will take place during the service. The Trust aims to help those in need in the Horsham district who might not otherwise be able to secure support from other bodies.

Trustees include the chairman of HDC, the vice chairman, the immediate past chairman, the vicar of Horsham and the editor in chief of the West Sussex County Times.
