Carols for Charters Ancaster

Following a busy last week of term Charters Ancaster Preparatory and Nursery School held their carol service at nearby St Stephens Church.

All of the main school attended and many were joined by their parents.

A story by Laurie Lee was used to tell the Christmas story interspersed with bible readings, carols and mime.

The school orchestra and brass ensemble accompanied the singing, with many of the children performing solos.

The children also sang a French Carol " Il est Ne, Le Divin Enfant" which they have entered into the Observer Primary School Carols competition.

At the end of the service the children took home Christingles made by forms 1 and 2.
