In an invitation to the public this week, festival organisers said: "Come and enjoy at least 25 trees, cleverly decorated by people connected with the church.

"Stalls, light lunches and teas will be available on the Saturday and Sunday. There will be an admission charge of 1.50 for adults but accompanied children get in free.

"The event is being organised to raise money for recent alterations to the church providing better disabled access and for further repairs."
