Carpet store closing Worthing branch

AFTER more than 50 years' trading in Worthing, Fludes Carpets is closing its Chapel Road store at the end of this month when the lease expires.

Fludes, which first opened in Chapel Road in 1954, will be the second major carpet store to close in the town during the past six months.

Allied Carpets, in Buckingham Road, went into administration last August, and no new tenant has been announced.
