Police in Hailsham are appealing for information after a number of cars were damaged overnight on Friday to Saturday (February 13-14).
Police said in Observatory View, a roof light was ripped from one vehicle and a wing mirror broken on another. Wing mirrors were also smashed from a silver Vauxhall Astra in Geering Park and a white Toyota Aygo in Moore Park. Finally, a Toyota Yaris in Bellbanks Road had its wiper blades ripped off and scratches made across its bonnet, police said.
PCSO Jack Matthews said: “We have received information that a group of young men were seen in the area around 1.20am on Saturday.
“This sort of thoughtless crime causes great distress and inconvenience to local people so I would ask anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area during this time or has any information about those responsible for the damage to email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 101 quoting serial 103 of 14/02.”
