Sport: We managed to get in a home cricket match again on Sunday against Sedlescombe. It is always difficult to get teams over a bank holiday weekend, especially when several players play in their league teams on Saturday. Catsfield batted first and at tea were 209 for 5. Tim Pitman scored 78, Derek Fuller 40 and an explosive total of 53 not out from Martin Gurr were our main scorers. It was good to welcome father and son Scott and Jonty Lavocah to our team. Jonty’s bowling figures were 2 for 8 runs in 5 overs and Scott’s 2 for 11 runs in six overs. Tom Bristow-Diamond got 3 wickets, Connor Earl 2 and Tim Pitman 1 wicket with Sedlescombe all out for 86 runs. With several players unavailable this Sunday, we will struggle to find a team when we go to Eastbourne to play Southbourne on their lovely pitch.

Stoolball had a good victory away to Robertsbridge with Jo Richardson scoring a lot of runs. 7th June the ladies are away at Pett and 9th June the mixed team is away at Brightling.

Mobile Library: On Friday 10th June, the East Sussex Mobile Library will be in its usual place outside the Village Hall from 11.55am – 12.30 pm.
