The children's workshop in the Village Hall will begin at 1.30pm and the procession of The Way of the Cross up to the church will follow.

On Easter Sunday morning the Family Communion Service will be at 9.15am and there will be an Easter Egg Hunt for the children afterwards.

Jumble Sale: The WI Jumble Sale and Cake Stall will be held in the Village Hall on Saturday 16th April from 10am – 12pm, entrance 50p. Please bring your jumble to the hall as early as possible on the morning and come along later to catch a bargain, there are always plenty there. This is to raise money for our charity of the year, the Air Ambulance Service.

‘On the Box!’: There will be a special event on Thursday 28th April when Catsfield Village Hall is proud to present ‘Bowjangles’ with a show entitled ‘On the Box!’ This promises to be a fast moving, energetic comedy performance by a string quartet who dance, sing, leap, tumble and joke whilst playing all the music and not missing a beat! Tickets will be on sale from the Village Stores price £10 and £7 for concessions.

Sport: Our football fixtures were changed last week because of the Hastings Half Marathon in which some of our players were running. They wisely thought playing football the day before running wasn’t a good idea. We hope to play Icklesham Casuals at home tomorrow. Casuals sound like our sort of opposition, so we hope for a win.

The cricket wicket is being treated with moss killer and then the laborious scarifying will have to take place. Unfortunately, a horse got onto the field some weeks ago and the hoof marks have had to be re-filled. Another opportunity for the rabbits to make a mess.

Queen’s birthday: You may have noticed from other Voices that some villages are planning to celebrate The Queen’s 90th birthday. After our four day Diamond Jubilee celebrations, we seem to have run out of ideas and would welcome some input from those who could contribute to a modest event. Please get in touch with Parish Clerk Carol Hodgson if you can help.

Craft Fair: Helen and Janet would like to thank everyone who helped to make this a success, both the crafts people and those who came to support us. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves. We raised £116 for Multiple Sclerosis which was great.
