This Friday we meet for our 55 Lunch Club meal and raffle, at 12 for 12 .30pm in the Village Hall. A nice hot meal in this cold weather will be something to look forward to - and there is always the gossip!

Friday the 27th is the last day to apply for membership of the Catsfield Sports club 100 Club, which supports our fine new community Sports Pavilion. You need to apply to our Parish Clerk, Carol Hodgson, phone 01424 893526, for a membership from, give her e cheque for £12 and you will be in with a chance of winning one of the monthly prizes of £12, or even the bumper Christmas prize of £100. Don`t delay, there`s a prize in May!

Then wait a minute, it`s music from the 50`s and 60`s, the tickets, price £5, include MILK and biscuits and there is a tuck shop for your Hot Dogs and Licensed bar (proof of age needed). There will be a special guest appearance of a real charmer in shorts, to show off his knobbly knees and you can get your ticket from the Village Stores.

On Thursday May 3rd we have our monthly WI meeting, the Fun Flower and Produce Show, which has become such a success. Moved forward from June because of the Jubilee celebrations, it has attracted lots of entries and is always such a show case for members` talents. If you are new to the village and would like to see what our WI can do, please come along to a very sociable meeting. We shall also be reminded of the 2012 Resolution, which is in support of providing more, much needed, midwives and there will be the usual, delicious tea. The meeting starts at 2.30 pm in the Village Hall.
