Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with an assault and an indecent exposure on Brighton's Palace Pier.

A 35-year-old woman was on the pier on Saturday, May 27, at 8.50pm where she was approached by a man who became aggressive towards her, police said.

When she walked away, police said, he followed her and indecently exposed himself to her before throwing a football at her head.

When she shouted at him to go away, a woman who was with him shouted and swore at her. The man then pulled his shorts down again before hitting her around the side of her head and running off.

Police said the suspect is white, aged in his 40s, 6ft tall, slim with short brown hair and was was wearing light coloured shorts, a T-shirt, trainers and a black puffa coat.

The woman in the CCTV image is white, 5ft 2ins tall, of large build, with dark brown hair and was wearing a light orange pink vest top. She was pushing a dark blue pram with a toddler in it. She also had a boy aged about 10 with her.
