Head teacher Carolyn Dickinson said: “I am delighted to inform our parents and the local community that, following
the monitoring visit by Ofsted, Worthing High School
is no longer in special measures.

“The removal of special measures in less than 12 months is a great achievement and is due to the hard work and commitment of Worthing High staff, students, parents and carers.”

Tim Loughton, MP for East Worthing and Shoreham, said: “I am very pleased to hear that Worthing High School has been taken out of special measures and is clearly on a strong and speedy road to recovery.

“Carolyn Dickinson and her team have done an excellent job to bring this about in a relatively short period of time and I am sure this will give great reassurance to parents and students who have shown great patience and understanding as the management team at the school, helped by a number of impressive new members of staff, have faced up to the challenges.
