Following the announcement, the delicious array of homemade sweet treats and goodies was sold in aid of Covers’ Help for Hospices week.

The bake off was one of several fundraising activities during the week and proceeds contributed to the final fundraising target of £25,000, which will be split between 11 hospices.

Rupert Green, chairman at Covers, said: “Congratulations to our winning baker, Gina, and thank you to Mr Timothy and everyone who supported the Builders’ Bake Off and helped to raise vital funds for these exceptional charities.”

Tickets for the grand raffle, which includes top prizes of a London hotel theatre break for two and a £500 Covers home improvements voucher, are available until Friday, September 30, at £1 per ticket from any of Covers’ 14 depots. The prize draw will take place on Friday, October 14.
