ADELE has taken to Twitter to deny rumours she has split from her partner.

The 26-year-old singer - who rarely uses social media and has always closely guarded her private life - chose to speak out after The Sun on Sunday claimed she had split from charity boss Simon Konecki, the father of her two-year-old son, Angelo.

Adele told her 21.5 million followers: “Just wanted to wish everyone happy holidays & all the best for 2015! PS Simon & I are still very much together, don’t believe what you read x.”

The newspaper had reported the couple were no longer living together and had hardly seen each another in the last two months. It claimed Adele was spending most of her time with her mother and friends in London, while Simon, 40, was living back in his “bachelor pad” 60 miles away in Brighton.

JAMES CORDEN has revealed he is worried that his daughter will grow up to have an American accent, thanks to his new job in the US.

The Into The Woods star has been signed up as the new host of talk show The Late Late Show, and while appearing as a guest on ALAN CARR’s New Year’s Specstacular, said he was apprehensive about the effect it might have on his children.

James admitted: “The thing I’m worried about is we’ve just had our daughter and she’s five weeks old, and is going to move - she’s just going to be American.

“She’s going to come back - London’s just going to be a place she comes to at Christmas - she’s going to be like [puts on American accent], ‘Oh my God. What’s this white stuff falling from the sky? My nana and grandad don’t even have a pool, this is disgusting’.”

CHRIS PINE has confessed to having “deep regrets” about the Jack Ryan reboot he starred in.

The actor took on the role of Tom Clancy’s CIA agent hero in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, directed and co-starring SIR KENNETH BRANAGH, as well as KEIRA KNIGHTLEY. But the film, released in January 2014, made a disappointing 135.5 million dollars (£87 million) worldwide.

Chris was asked by Moviefone.com if he expects to reprise the role in a sequel.

The Horrible Bosses 2 star replied: “No, I don’t think it made enough money for that to happen.

“That’s one of my deep regrets, that we didn’t totally get that right. It’s a great franchise, and if it’s not me, then I hope it gets a fifth life at this point. It’s just great. I love the spy genre. I hope it’s done again and with a great story.”
