LIAM NEESON has revealed he got to share screen time with the foul-mouthed teddy bear in Ted 2.

The Taken star makes a cameo in the comedy sequel, which reunites him with filmmaker SETH MACFARLANE, following their collaboration on Seth’s comedy Western, A Million Ways To Die In The West.

“I shot a little scene in Boston a few weeks ago. It was just a little cast-aside cameo,” he said.

MEL GIEDROYC and SUE PERKINS have promised that the audience on their new chat show will not go hungry - with great food being cooked for them live on screen.

It is 15 years since the pair’s chat show Late Lunch came to an end, but they are returning with new series Mel & Sue which airs on weekdays on ITV at 4pm.

Mel revealed: “We’ll have a cook who won’t be a celebrity chef. It will be a different person every day. It could be your Uncle Stanley doing corned beef fritters. It won’t just be high-end stuff; it won’t be upmarket chefs preparing a coulis of shiitake mushrooms. We guarantee good snackage.”

Sue added: “We will throw the audience Twiglets.”

SARAH LANCASHIRE has revealed that she likes to write back to fans of her Last Tango In Halifax character.

The Happy Valley star plays Caroline, a woman who has come out in later life and is now marrying another woman, although her mother still struggles to accept her sexuality.

Explaining that the themes had resonated with viewers of all ages, Sarah told TV Times that when she got personal notes from viewers, she liked to reply to them.

She said: “I do write back. It’s a very privileged position when someone chooses to write to you. They do share very intimate details of their lives, and it’s not just young women, but women in their seventies and eighties who have remarkable stories to tell.

“What’s so lovely is they feel this show has normalised them, without being salacious or titillating. When you do something like this, you never understand that it may just impact on someone’s life.”
