Sixteen celebrities are to take part in the shows in February, with four episodes broadcast on BBC One over four weeks.

Mary said: “It’s very exciting. You have the very best comedians, actors coming and we’ve never laughed so much. They’re the best.”

Paul added: “They’re proper A-listers this time. It’s unbelievable. Not saying we didn’t have A-listers before, but I was really shocked with the people walking in. Genuinely.

“You would not believe it,” he continued. “There’s one programme with four people on that you’ll be staggered to find in one room.”

Mary joked: “But the baking isn’t brilliant!”

DANNY DYER, who plays Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter in EastEnders, said the show has rejuvenated his love for acting.

“At that point in my career, I was a car crash, and I think people wanted to see me fail,” he said.

“I’m so glad I did this. Having that responsibility, taking on the Vic, I’m so glad that it’s reined me in and it’s made me concentrate and focus. I forgot about the love of acting, which I love to do.

“And can I just say something about soap acting? It’s so hard. I had to draw on all my experience to get through it - it’s so truthful every single day.

“There’s so much dialogue involved and to create a character that anyone cares about every day is a difficult thing. It’s drained the life out of me but I love it.”

The creator of the film franchise sold his company Lucasfilm to Disney after he had already planned to make a seventh instalment, and gave them his suggestions for the plot in his handover.

But George has told Cinema Blend that Disney didn’t take up his ideas for Star Wars: The Force Awakens: “The ones that I sold to Disney, they came up to the decision that they didn’t really want to do those. So they made up their own. So it’s not the ones that I originally wrote.”

COLIN FIRTH has revealed he took photographs of every injury he incurred on the set of Kingsman: The Secret Service to prove he was doing his own stunts.

The 54-year-old British actor - best known for playing Mark Darcy in the Bridget Jones movies and winning an Oscar for his portrayal of stuttering King George VI in The King’s Speech - breaks from stereotype to play a gentleman spy in MATTHEW VAUGHN’s new comic book movie - whose umbrella is a deadly weapon.

Colin insisted of the stunts and action sequences: “Let’s just say it’s all me. I said that to somebody and they looked at me with horrified disappointment that I would tell people such an egregious lie. It basically is.

“The stunt guy had to do a couple of things involving a rig but what you’re seeing is well into the 90% me.

“One of the reasons I feel so driven to tell people is that I wouldn’t go through all that pain for nothing.

“And when we were actually shooting it, the stunt guy said, ‘Let’s get the B roll in to film some of this because nobody’s going to believe it’. And every time I got a bruise or a broken tooth, it got photographed. Rather than get the nurse in, it was, ‘Get the cameras in so we can show you’re going through it’.”
