The event, which includes food tastings and a raffle, is being held as part of the store’s fundraising activities for their local Charity of the Year, The Sussex Association for Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus (Sasbah).

Lots include an England away shirt signed by Wayne Rooney, signed books, DVDs and photos of celebrities from sport, film, TV, music and politics including Deep Purple, Ridley Scott, Michael Palin, Helen Mirren and Stephen Fry.

Sasbah CEO Rom Sanglaji says the event is a tremendous opportunity to raise awareness and funds for the charity’s work supporting families with children with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. “Like many smaller charities working in local communities we are experiencing difficult times, as reductions in funding coincides with increasing demand for our support,” he said. “We are really grateful to M&S staff for all the work they have put in to securing an amazing range of items for the auction and preparations for the event. We hope all local fans of signed memorabilia will come along and support us.”
