Ceremony to mark Armistice Day at Horsham’s War Memorial today

A two-minute silence will be observed at Horsham’s War Memorial this morning (Tuesday November 11).

The Horsham branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) will holds a short ceremony in the Carfax for those who wish to remember at the ‘eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month’.

St Mary’s CE Primary School will bring 120 pupils from its junior section to witness the ceremony.

The chairman of Horsham District Council Brian O’Connell will lay a wreath at the memorial, while David Copestake, chairman of the RBL Horsham branch, will read The Exhortation before the two minute silence at 11am.
