VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Chailey Heritage Foundation would welcome volunteers to help with their fundraising stand at the Royal Pavilion Gardens, Brighton, on Saturday July 23 from 9.30am to 5pm. If you are able to offer some time that day please contact [email protected] or call 01825 724444.

SUMMER BUTTERFLY WALK: Takes place on Saturday July 23 from 2pm to 4pm. Do go along and join Karen Pritty, from the Bonfire Society, to find these beautiful creatures on Red House Common. Meet at the car park in Warrs Hill Lane.

LEAD VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT: Do you fancy taking on a fulfilling volunteering role but are too busy to take on a regular commitment? Chailey Heritage Foundation are currently seeking individuals who would like to become Lead Volunteers, to attend community events on their behalf when they’re not able to. You can commit to as many or as few events as you like and you will be responsible for recruiting and managing your own volunteers to assist you on the day. For more information please visit www.chf.org.uk/leadvolunteers or email [email protected].

BONFIRE SOCIETY: Regrettably the organising committee continues to diminish and following this year’s bonfire celebrations and the Christmas Party most of the committee are standing down which will make it impossible to continue. All roles need replacing; secretary, treasurer, fundraisers and of course those that plan, build and deliver the display. If you are prepared to do something to help this Society to continue please give Chris a call on 07867 822492 or email him at [email protected]. The hard fact is that without new help there will be no Bonfire Celebrations in Chailey in 2017.The decision to continue, or not, is in your hands.
