It will take place on November 7 in St Clements Church in the Old Town starting at 7-30pm.

It will be played by the Treblos Wind Quintet from London, five young instrumentalists who are rapidly becoming recognised as talented musicians.

The music has been composed by Jonathan Burton, Michael Short and Keith Beal.

Jonathan worked for some time at Glyndebourne, the English National Opera and has had work played in London and Cambridge, as well as on television.

Michael is an expert on Gustav Holst and has had work played in the Proms and in Bristol amongst other places.

Keith has most of his work played on the continent of Europe and in Kiev, although Alan Hacker played his Clarinet Concerto in Royal Leamington Spa, and the Dutch Tuba Quartet played the piece he wrote for them, at the World Tuba Convention when it took place at the concert hall in Birmingham.

Keith said: “St Clements Church has recently been renovated, and now forms a beautiful venue with attractive surroundings and good acoustics.

“This is a concert not to be missed.”

Tickets are priced £10 with £8 for concessions, available on the door or reserved by phoning at 430040.
