Packed showrings saw 60-plus bullocks and 220 sheep entered '“ highest entries ever.

Bob Temple from Ashdown Forest-based Rupert Taylor Ltd, received the award for his champion steer and supreme champion limousin, bought by Guy Grimstone from Lewes.

Reserve supreme champion and champion heifer was exhibited by Thorndean Farms, Cowbeech, and brought the show's top price for buyer and show president Michael Hamper from Heathfield.

The champion pen of lambs was exhibited by John Seale from Lindfield in West Sussex and bought by Guy Grimstone.

Champion pigs were exhibited by students and staff from Plumpton College.
