No, not the Eurovision Song Contest, but the choice of the band to top the bill at this year’s Littlehampton Town Show and Family Fun Day.

And the winners are – The Tribute Show.

Headliners at the event in 2011, the band returned to Littlehampton last year for the Queen’s diamond jubilee concert on The Green.

Littlehampton Town Council, which organises the popular annual event, asked people to vote for their favourite act to lead the entertainment this year, on September 14, at Rosemead Open Space.

The battle of the bands was fought out on Facebook, the town council’s website, and via texts and emails, before The Tribute Show finished with significantly more votes than rival acts portraying Abba, Queen and Madness.

And so Littlehampton can once again look forward to a huge range of hits ranging from Robbie Williams to Cher, and from Queen to Abba, all performed by The Tribute Show.

Commenting on the result, town councillor Alan Gammon, chairman of the community resources committee said: “It is wonderful that the public have chosen a music act that has brought the community together before to complement the wide variety of talented local groups that perform at the Town Show and Family fun Day.”
