Recently discovered 17th century gravestones and a new ‘open plan’ area will be on display at the 13th century Firle Church from April 19 to 21.
On Friday April 19 from 2pm to 5pm teas and delicious home made cakes will be served in the new ‘open plan’ area.
On Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21 the church is open from 11am-5pm for tea and home made cakes plus some special events.
There will be ‘Find your inner artist’ for children and adults to try your hand at drawing or painting spring flowers.
Paints, brushes and paper provided and your work will be displayed in the church.
A ‘Church Quiz Competition’ gives the opportunity to find some of the ‘hidden gems’ in Firle Church.
The church boasts many fine monumental brasses and there will be a ‘Brass Rubbing demonstration’ to see how you can make a visual image of them and
have a go, too.
‘Bell Ringing’ gives you the chance to operate the church bells with the help of an expert.
At 3pm each day the Reverend Peter Owen-Jones will be giving a talk ‘Looking After Our Environment’.
