Change to some refuse rounds in Bognor

Some refuse rounds in the Bognor Regis area are being changed.

The alterations will see some households having their rubbish picked up earlier than usual.

This has led Arun District Council to remind residents to put out their rubbish by 7am on the day of their weekly collection.

The changes by the council's contractor, Verdant, will improve efficiency. The day of collection will stay the same.

Cllr Paul Wotherspoon, Arun's environment services boss, said: "Verdant collect refuse from over 67,000 households each week and are always looking for ways to give residents the most efficient service possible. These small changes to the collection route can make a big difference."

Refuse and recycling should go at the edge of the property closest to the road.
