Charities to benefit at coffee morning

Good causes are set to benefit from a charity coffee morning being held in West Meads on Saturday.

The event is being organised by Aldwick Parish Council after the success of previous fetes and coffee mornings around the area to benefit many local groups and societies.

Among the 14 good causes lined up to take stalls are Aldwick Preservation Society, British Heart Foundation, Bognor Regis Seafront Lights, Victim Support, Bognor Regis Stroke Support and Friends of Marine Park Gardens.

The event runs from 10am to 12.30pm at the West Meads Community Centre in The Precinct.

Parish council chairman Cllr Jim Ramage said: 'The number of community groups operating in Aldwick is second to none. This is largely why we have such a strong community spirit.

'It is nice to be able to give them another opportunity to promote themselves to a wider audience and, hopefully, raise some much-needed funds at the same time.'
