Charity appeals for social-media volunteer

AN ADUR charity is seeking a volunteer to help it keep up with the rise of social media websites such as Twitter and Facebook.

Adur Voluntary Action is looking for someone to develop its networks of followers, especially amongst younger people, stimulating dialogues, and communicating its messages in concise and timely ways.

The charity’s website is linked to its Twitter and Facebook feeds.

Hours would be flexible and dependent on the individual.

“It is a very responsible challenge that demands care and good insight into AVA’s role, adherence to AVA’s campaigning and social media policy, but we will give good support,” said chief officer Adrian Barritt.

The job can be done from the offices in Ham Road, Shoreham, or from home, and AVA would provide help with equipment and internet connection if necessary.

Anyone interested should contact Mr Barritt at [email protected] or on 07854 056522.
