Charity balloons land in Germany
One hundred balloons were released outside the salon at 5pm on Thursday October 6 in aid of Cancer Research and Breast Cancer Awareness.
Less than 18 hours later, one was found by Ramona Rinker near a forest in Gräveneck, Hessen, Germany, more than 460 miles from Horsham.

Karen Tapson, general manager at Horsham Beauty Secrets, said: “Ramona Rinker excitedly contacted the salon immediately. Amazed at how far Mary’s balloon had travelled and in such a short space of time, Ramona photographed the slightly deflated balloon along with a picture of the forest and a map marking its exact landing point in Germany.
“Mary Byrne, the lucky lady whose details were attached to this balloon, was contacted by Beauty Secrets straight away and invited to come in and claim her winning prize of a selection of indulgent face and body products and discount vouchers for exclusive treatments at the salon.
“Ramona was also sent a gift box by post of luxurious pampering goodies to enjoy in the comfort of her own home in Germany.”
