Charity champion Paula is relishing new role for Lewes area CTLA

Community Transport for the Lewes Area (CTLA) has added a ‘Charity Champion’ to its ranks with the appointment of Paula Woolven as Community and Fundraising Manager.

Paula has been recognised recently in a national award scheme for people who dedicate their time to charity and fundraising and was rewarded for her long term commitment to community volunteering for organisations which currently include Seaford Musical Theatre Juniors and DaSH Junior Football Club.

Paula said: “I first became aware of CTLA when I made a group booking for my charity theatre class for young people and was really pleased with their service and the friendly driver. When I looked into their organisation further, I was so impressed with their dedication to providing affordable, accessible transport for people who find it difficult to access normal forms of transport.”

Operations Manager Derek Barnett, said: “I am certain that Paula’s enthusiasm and experience will be a real asset. I expect her to play a vital role for us by improving our fundraising capabilities that will ensure we can reach out to our local community and satisfy the ever increasing demand for our services.”
