After months of hard work, a Christmas single recorded by musicians from across East Sussex to raise funds for a Crowborough charity will be released on Monday (November 17).
Fundraising organisation Acoustic Valium Project enlisted the help of around 35 talented singers from the Sussex and Kent area for the single It’s Christmas Time.
The single, which will be released as a limited edition CD and download track, aims to raise funds for Crowborough based charity Taylor-Made Dreams.
Taylor-Made Dreams is a charity which enables children with life limiting illness achieve their dreams and is a provider of holistic therapeutic support.
The song has been produced by Simon Scardanelli and was written by James Morris. James said: “The mood and words of the song capture the nostalgia and excitement of the childhood anticipation of Christmas and embodies all the festive elements of the classic Christmas songs of the 70s and 80s.”
A launch party will take place at The Forum in Tunbridge Wells on November 28, from 7pm. Tickets are £5 and all proceeds will go to Taylor-Made Dreams. The evening will feature live shows from Milly McCarron, 8 Car Attach, Ukelear Fallout, Dan Clews, McCrei, The Millie Manders Band, Kirsti Robinson Band and Searching For Pie.
CDs can be ordered at http://www.taylormadedreams.net and the song can be downloaded from Monday from iTunes and Amazon.
