Charity looks to Splash the cash thanks to grants

A STORRINGTON-based charity that provides a lifeline for vulnerable parents and families in the area has had its work recognised with major funding for two new projects.

Splash For Schools and Commnities is celbrating two different awards totalling more than 20,000, which will enableit to run a one-year-programme to support parents of pre-school children in the Storrington and Sullington area, as well as provide community-based music groups for pre-school toddlers and children.

The Christian charity, based at Trinity Methodist Church in Storrington, has its roots in a combined church event 10 years ago entitled Stir Up Storrington.

From this, Liz Burt founded the charity, working with current manager Caroline McGill , to establish fun assemblies in local schools, rapidly evolving to include holiday clubs in Storrington and Ashington.
